One of these days, I hope to stumble across a ‘pass’ site which does not make me dizzy or lose me in a limbo between the previews and the members’ areas - regrettably, as I explore Amazing Pass, this is not such a day.
But, don’t get me wrong. I’m certain that confusing navigation is a natural side effect of providing access to such a large number of sites. Porn producers cater to a variety of adult niches and market them in different ways. Some sites/niches are sold stand-alone - that’s all you get when you buy a membership. Other sites are presented as (poor to very good) stand alones for the theme they address, but are also backed up with an arsenal of other (bonus) sites to ensure that the overall volume of content is adequate to keep members happy. And then there are the ‘pass’ sites. These sites peddle access from the top - rather than pretending to be a particular niche, they make it clear from the outset that ‘the pass’ gives you access to a variety of niches/sites. To my thinking this is much more honest than sites which pretend to offer a niche (and do it poorly) but include all the other niches as ‘bonus’ content.
At least with a ‘pass’ membership, you understand that you’re getting some sampling of many different flavors of adult content. In the best case scenario, each of your favorite niches is satisfied with lots of great ‘on-topic’ content. In the worst case scenario, you may get a gallery or two which technically addresses the theme promised. And then there’s all the other space in between. Amazing Pass leans more to the favorable end of possibilities.
Reviewing the Amazing Pass (Adult Entertainment Network), was a bit challenging at first because I found myself jumping in and out of members areas (not to mention, having to re-enter my username password for each site supported by the pass). The navigation of this network leaves a very fine line between the visitors and members sides. There are some practical reasons for this, but if you’re a member the reasons will probably not matter to you (and they should not). If you do get an Amazing Pass, be prepared to spend some time sorting out whether you have just jumped into or out of a members area. But if I could do it, you can probably do it as well!
Aside from that level of confusion, the actual offerings of the pass are reasonably well presented. This network is oriented to videos and pictures. If you’re interested in adult movie content of higher DVD quality, then this may be what you’re looking for. The picture galleries are jam packed and good quality as well.
Before we get into the themes provided, a few important points need to be mentioned about the movies in general. Unlike the more common Windows Media (WMV) or Quicktime formats provided by many sites, Amazing Pass sends you to AVI files. All videos are encoded with Xvid Codec in 640×480 and downloadable on your hard drive. You will require the codec (if you don’t already have it) and there is a handy link to get the necessary pieces to make the movies play on your Windows Media Player (WMP). I have noticed on a few occasions, that a partially downloaded video will NOT play in WMP, and the makers of this network suggest you use VLC PLayer instead (free to download). The other side of the Xvid coin is that the movies are very good quality - not HD, but still very good DVD quality.
At time of review 140 sites (Gigs of Movies : 1469.29) were available to members with Amazing Pass: Anal (11), Dvds (16), Ethnics (16), Hardcore (20), Lesbians (6), MILF/Mature (5), Oral (9), Pornstars (13), Teens (16), Gay/Shemale (7), and Extra Sites (19). According to the makers, 19 Extra Bonus sites are also included with over 200,000+ pictures in the still galleries (thumbnailed 438×640 resolution). The content overall is excellent and abundant! You get unlimited downloads without any DRM (Digital Rights Management). At 66 cents per day (90 days) and 83 cents per day (30 days) membership to Amazing Pass IS an amazing deal!
